MP35N 2.4999 Superalloy – Ultra-High Strength Nickel-Cobalt-Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy | FUSHUN SPECIAL STEEL
Introduction & Applications
MP35N is a premium nonmagnetic nickel-cobalt-chromium-molybdenum superalloy renowned for its exceptional combination of ultra-high tensile strength, outstanding ductility, and superior corrosion resistance. As a professional manufacturer, FUSHUN SPECIAL STEEL produces MP35N through advanced vacuum induction melting (VIM) followed by vacuum arc remelting (VAR) to ensure the highest quality standards.
This alloy can achieve tensile strength up to 300 ksi (2068 MPa) through cold work hardening, phase transformation, and aging processes. MP35N demonstrates exceptional resistance to sulfidation, high-temperature oxidation, and hydrogen embrittlement, making it ideal for the most demanding applications.

MP35N Heat Treatment
Annealing
MP35N should be annealed at 1900-1950°F (1038-1066°C) for 1 to 4 hours, followed by air cooling. This process restores ductility for subsequent forming operations.
Aging
After work hardening, MP35N can be aged at 1000-1200°F (538-649°C) for increased strength. For optimum properties, cold worked MP35N should be aged at 1000-1100°F (538-593°C) for 4 hours, then air cooled.
Important: The alloy will respond to aging only if first work strengthened. No increase in strength will result from aging annealed material. Service temperatures up to 750°F (399°C) are suggested for the fully work hardened condition.
