EN26 826M40 Alloy Steel

1.4854 is an alloy known as 353 MA. It is an austenitic and heat-resistant steel that exhibits good creep rupture strength and very good resistance to high corrosion. The chemical composition of this steel includes carbon (C) up to 0.07%, silicon (Si) up to 1.30%, manganese (Mn) up to 1.50%, phosphorus (P) up to 0.04%, sulfur (S) up to 0.015%, chromium (Cr) between 24.0% and 26.0%, nickel (Ni) between 34.0% and 36.0%, nitrogen (N) up to 0.17%, and cerium (Ce) between 0.03% and 0.08%. It has a hardness of up to HB152 at 20°C, a yield strength of at least 300 N/mm², a tensile strength ranging from 650 N/mm² to 800 N/mm², and an elongation of at least 40%. This steel is resistant to scaling up to 1100°C. It has a density of 7.9 g/cm³, a specific heat capacity of 480 J/kg K, a thermal conductivity of 11 W/m K, and an electrical resistivity of 1 Ω mm²/m. It is commonly used in heat treatment furnaces.
