XM-19 (1.3964/S20910) is a nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel manufactured by FUSHUN SPECIAL STEEL. This advanced alloy offers corrosion resistance superior to Types 316 and 317 austenitic stainless steels, combined with significantly higher strength properties.
The alloy maintains excellent mechanical properties at both sub-zero and moderately elevated temperatures, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications. It remains non-magnetic in annealed condition and even after severe cold work.
Primary Applications: Heat exchanger components, pumps, spent nuclear fuel containers, flood control barriers, pulp and paper industry, food processing equipment, petrochemical applications, fertilizer production, structural components, and marine environments.

Annealing Temperature: 1065-1120°C (1950-2050°F) followed by rapid cooling
This alloy is fully austenitic and not hardenable by heat treatment
